2.3. Exploring Possible Confounders
Once a Clinical Outcome is selected, an additional selector appears on the left side, allowing the user to explore confounding variables.
These confounders represent differences in study populations or methodology that may explain variability in results, such as:
Age
Baseline visual acuity
Refractive characteristics
Other sample-related parameters
Selecting a confounder updates the view to show them simultaneously with the clinical outcome.
By tapping on a confounder, the user can open a detailed explanation describing:
Why this variable matters
How it may influence results
How to interpret differences between studies
